Hans Moravec, Ph.D.
Hans Moravec, Ph.D., is principal scientist at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University, where he directs the Mobile Robot Laboratory. His lifelong interest in robotics now also embraces computer graphics, multiprocessors, and space travel. With the second of two books published in 1998, Robot: Mere Machine to Transcendent Mind (Oxford University Press), he continues to consider the implications of evolving robot intelligence.
