Leslie L. Iversen, Ph.D., author of The Science of Marijuana (Oxford University Press, 1999), is a visiting professor at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Oxford, and the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the Imperial College Medical School in London. He investigates the molecular basis of nervous system disorders, chemical messengers between nerve cells, and how drugs work in the nervous system.
