Richard J. Wyatt, M.D.
Richard J. Wyatt, M.D., is chief of the neuropsychiatry branch of the National Institute of Mental Health. During his 34-year research career at the National Institutes of Health he has studied mood disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, drug abuse, and the biology of sleep; his present research specialty is schizophrenia. The author of Practical Psychiatric Practice: Forms and Protocols for Clinical Use (American Psychiatric Press, 1998), he is currently working on the National Collaborative Study of Early Psychosis and Suicide.
