Loretta M. Flanagan-Cato, Ph.D., is associate professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Flanagan-Cato received her doctoral degree in behavioral neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. She then continued her training as a postdoctoral research fellow at The Rockefeller University. Dr. Flanagan-Cato is currently conducting research on the biological basis of hormone-driven behaviors. The aim of this research is to identify neural plasticity mechanisms that underlie changes in motivated behaviors. Results from this investigation are expected to contribute to our understanding of the neurological controls of diverse hormone-regulated behaviors.
