Funded in March, 2003: $70000 for 2 years
The Dana Foundation grant will provide support for ArtsBridge America, a program designed to address the shortage of arts specialists qualified to teach. Dana funding would support the creation of thirty ArtsBridge classrooms in schools in high-poverty communities in Orange County by training thirty ArtsBridge scholars, top arts students at the University of California, Irvine, and providing support training to thirty K-12 teachers. Funding will also provide for the creation and dissemination of materials to classroom teachers.
