Center for Modern Dance Education

Funded in March, 2005: $15000 for 1 years
With Dana Foundation funding, The Center for Modern Dance Education will provide a series of professional development workshops for professional dance teachers who work in the public schools, with a focus on working with students who have disabilities. The goal of the workshops is to improve public school dance education by providing dance artists with the skills and knowledge needed to deal with the many types of disabilities they are likely to encounter in public school students.
