Washington Performing Arts Society - 2006
Funded in March, 2006: $30000 for 1 years
With renewed funding from the Dana Foundation, the Washington Performing Arts Society will hold its fourth annual Professional Development Institute for local performing artists who conduct residencies for schoolchildren. The Institute is vital to the success and enhancement of WPAS' growing in-school residency program. It enables artists to continually update their practices and move from beginning to "Master Teaching Artist" levels. Artists who participate in the Institute are always placed by WPAS in at least one in-school residency during the subsequent year.
