John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - 2006

Funded in March, 2006: $20000 for 1 years
The Dana grant will fund the final development of a workshop entitled Designing Effective Instructional Residencies for Students. This workshop is the third of a four-part series developed to help artists and arts educators develop their own methods of bringing arts into classrooms. The workshop will take artists and arts educators interested in becoming teaching artists through the entire process of conceptualizing, designing and planning an effective in-school residency in partnership with a classroom educator. At the completion of the series of workshops, its methodology will be marketed and deployed throughout the country by taking advantage of the wide variety of national partnerships and networks the Kennedy Center has recruited.
