Meditation lifts depression

Learning to meditate helped me lower my meds. Without question the practice in the mindfulness meditation community creates a profound sense of connectedness with humanity which is catalyst that lifts the veil of depression. One is able, even with moderately regular practice able to access clearer thinking which lifts one out of fearful indecisiveness and inertia. I felt freshened, like a subtle, invigorating cleansing, all thought my body-- a truly energizing experience. And, as I let the practice drop away, as sure as night follows day, thinking became less clear, fear took hold, withdrawal from friends and family, followed by new and stronger meds.
