I am dyslexic and have had no treatment. I think that I learned early on that I had to work longer and harder than others. I am multi-degreed and went back to school when I was 70 to learn web design. I am creating a web site called The Applied History of Art and Architecture (ahaafoundation.org) My problem is that there are many errors in the text. This bothers me a lot. Is there any help for me in Honolulu? If you go to ahaafoundation.org and click on Meet Katherine you will see what I have accomplished. If you are a parent with a dyslexic child you might enjoy reading about and seeing amazing prehistoric around the world.

Sounds like you have put in an awful lot of effort for little result and must be feeling frustrated. Look up lexialearning.com and I advise trying use of cross trainer and one of the literacy software packages. I am using it successfully with dyslexic students in my clinic - requires daily use for best benefit. Good luck

All three of my children are dyslexic- APD/irlen and are of average IQ and above. They took FastForWord to "rewire brain," but two of them did not get any results—zero growth. My eldest, 12 years old, did, but negligible. It was an 8-week program. We do tutorials 7 day a week and they're "A" students, but two have difficulty passing TAKS. Comprehension is their problem and we are always working on it. Help with ideas, please!
