I am a 60 year old female who actively working and involved in life until 3/16/2011. My life change began with a Complex Migraine. Ten days later very labored speech began as did a problem processing what I was trying to convey. I have a long history of suffering many times from Lyme Disease. I have since retired and am on SS Disability. I have seen numerous Neurologists inclusive of Emory University Doctors. I actually had the Psychologist who did the cognitive testing "choose" Conversion Disorder because she could not identify my problems. I just want to know if there is anyone anywhere that I could at least talk to about my illness. I do well with speech 90% of time now...yesterday I was reading aloud our Devotion to my husband and i felt the brain change, the speech change and i simply handed him the book. I have trouble processing the proper words to identify what i am trying to convey. I have headaches very often and my memory is not as it used to be. please don't say it is because I am now 60! I feel the clogging in my brain..but because on some of the cognitive testing i did superbly well and I appear so normal...my condition is sloughed off as not serious because I CAN WORK SOMEWHERE! Just wanted to know if any of this sounds familiar to anyone else! THANKS for listening!! Blessings for a good, good day!
