Several years ago I went before a VA doctor to review a past claim of constant ringing and popping (Tinnitus) in my ears. I was told by a VA ENT doctor I would have to prove I had tinnitus. Is there any medical way to prove (diagnose) tinnitus?

I would be very interested in learing more about your research and participating in your research. I am 32 years old. When I was 14 I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor. And just recently I have started having problems with both of my ears. I have not been diagnosed with Tinnitus as of yet, but we do not have any doctors here that have considered the possibilites of Tinnitus being caused from the brains frontal lobe and not from the ears. I have taken medication for years for my brain tumor. I would love to research the medication to see what affect it has had on my brain functions and to also see if neurotransmitters have been chemically destroyed from the medication. I would also like to see if there is any connection between the brain tumor and the Tinnitus.

Because of my knee I am in constant pain. In order to make it through the day sometimes I have to take up to 10 Excedrin each day. I have read that too much asprin can cause this condition. Sometimes I have ringing in my ears but it goes away. Is there any reasearch done on the effects of too much asprin or why it happens?
