An intriguing discussion of studies that perhaps add a facet to the older attempts at memorizing languages, etc., via listening to a tape while sleeping. Connections existing between sensory input and memory games are similar to a trick that seems to work for some in memorizing, connecting a desired memory to a menomic. Many a beginner in studies of geology and other sciences swear by this tool. I wonder if these researchers could be inadvertedly tapping into memory-enhancing tools previously utilized by a subject? However we can enhance our memory, I have a feeling that we will continue to learn as these and other researchers delve into this fascinating subject.
