Thank you for this interesting article. The more I read about Alzheimer's disease, the more it seems that a balanced lifestyle including exercise, balanced diet, positive outlook might be the key. There are many people in their 90s who are in full physical and mental health. What makes their memory stay in tact? Last week attended a Paris screening of a new documentary on Alzheimer's and the creative arts called "I remember better when I paint". The film takes a look at how the arts are helping people affected by this disease with surprising results. The film is narrated by 93 year old actress Oliva de Havilland, who was present at the screening and introduced the film to the audience. It's an example of someone who has aged yet has mind intact. After seeing Oliva de Havilland in person, I just cannot believe that Alzheimer's is an inevitable side effect of aging.
