Gambling in PD (at dopaminergic treatment) might be treated with natrexone (Bosco et al., 2012), systemic treatment with levodopa+ in PD patients can elevate dopamine levels in not primarily affected (PD) brain areas above normal levels, tetrahydropapaveroline, an adduct product of dopamine and its primary MAO metabolite DOPAL, is a precursor of endogenous morphine found, which might be the base for the therapeutic success of naltrexone.
