Anesthesia in Young Children May Be Linked to Later Learning Disabilities

 My son had 19 surgeries between the ages of 2 and 7. He had anesthesia and high doses of versid before he was put to sleep. My husband and I feel that his learning disabilities and his behavior issues are caused from all of the anesthesia he received during these developmental times. He is now 18 and exhibits behavior that is not quote normal for his age. We are trying to gather information that would help us or validate what we have been feeling for many years. Thanks.. Paula, NH
