New Vaccine Against Alzheimer’s Shows Promise in Monkeys

 Been reading about all this after my pet Vervet monkey of 11 years old passed after a week stay with my vet. Loosing her after haveing her since she was 5 weeks old has been very devestating especially sinc my vet could not come up with a reason as to why she was sick untill after her passing & a full otopsy was done. From what i'm told this is not common in the Vervet especially since she was a household pet. She's been gone for almost 3 weeks now & i still can't believe it. I feel so helpless!!

 A PBS video highlighted the vaccine research efforts at UCLA. I found this article very encouraging. My step mother is suffering from Alzheimer's and had to be moved to a nursing home. My father has dementia and is getting worse each day. Both are in their early eighties. The removal of amyloid beta may not be the cure for Alzheimer's and other dementia, but the improvement in cognitive function with Lemere's dendrimeric beta-amyloid vaccine is exciting for us baby boomers, whose genetic history is not very promising. I look forward to the day when we can improve the quality of life for more than 50% of people over 85 years old and reduce the costs of healthcare for those populations that are ultimately destructive to the economic and social well being of us all.

 I'd like to know if is out in the market this new vaccine. My sister is so bad none of the medications are doing anything for her. Please let me know about this new medication vaccine.
