Temple Grandin, Ph.D., author of Thinking in Pictures and Other Reports From My Life With Autism (Doubleday, 1995) and other books, is associate professor in the department of animal science at Colorado State University. She has designed one-third of the livestock-handling facilities in the United States and lectures widely on autism.
