WHAT IS THE BRAIN BEE?
In celebration of Brain Awareness Week, the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives coordinates the NYC Regional Brain, a live written competition that tests the neuroscience knowledge of high school students. Every year, regional Brain Bees are held worldwide as part of the International Brain Bee. Winners of regional Bees in the U.S. are eligible to compete in the National Brain Bee at the University of Maryland during Brain Awareness Week. The U.S. National Champion is eligible to compete against other national champions in the International Brain Bee.
NYC BRAIN BEE STUDY SESSION
A two-part study session for the Bee, organized by Columbia University, will take place on January 7 and 21*. Only students registered to compete in the Bee can attend the study session days. Students MUST be registered in advance for the study session. Registration for the study session is separate from the competition registration. After registering your students for the competition please email BrainBee@dana.org to confirm their attendance at both study session dates.
*Competitors must attend both study session dates.
