PARTNER REPORTS
The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives and European Dana Alliance for the Brain congratulate the hundreds of Brain Awareness Week partners who presented innovative and creative activities to advance public interest in brain science during the fourteenth annual celebration of Brain Awareness Week, March 16-22, 2009. This year’s International Calendar includes more than 400 campaign events organized by BAW partners in 30 countries. More than 200 new institutions and organizations joined us as partners in the 2009 campaign, bringing the total number of partners who have participated in BAW since its inception to an impressive 2,425 partners in 76 countries.
The Dana Alliance and European Dana Alliance are pleased to present our new, online compilation of Partner Reports from around the world. This Partner Reports section is designed to recognize our partners’ efforts on behalf of the campaign and celebrate their achievements in spreading the word about the importance of the brain and brain research. The reports feature best practices, descriptions of innovative activities, photographs, and lessons learned from the newest to the most seasoned BAW event organizers. They are searchable by keyword, geographic location, event type, and audience. The goal is to provide useful ideas and insights from BAW partners that will assist others in organizing and implementing future BAW activities. We hope the broad sampling of activities detailed in the Partner Reports will inspire participants to take their BAW programs to a new level of participation in 2010 and beyond.
