Brain Awareness Week
Sticker Design Contest

BAW Sticker Contest

The Dana Foundation invites members of the public (not limited by age) to submit original graphic designs to help us promote the 2018 Brain Awareness Week (BAW) campaign and create the image for our popular BAW sticker. These stickers are distributed to registered BAW partners, who hold a variety of fun and informative events to educate people about the brain. The 2018 campaign will take place March 12-18.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists. Rules and guidelines are as follows:

Entry Requirements

Deadline: Entries must be submitted to by October 31, 2017. Please use the email subject, “BAW Sticker Contest.”

Format: All images must be submitted as a high-resolution PDF AND either a high-resolution Illustrator file or a jpeg created at 300 dpi or higher. Stickers can be round or square. The winning image will be sized to fit on either a 3” circle or a 3” x 3” square.

Design criteria: Sticker designs must be original work and include the words “Brain Awareness Week 2018”. Creativity is encouraged!

Eligibility: The contest is open to members of the public worldwide, but entrants are limited to one design per person. Employees of the Dana Foundation and their family members are not eligible to enter the contest.

Permissions: Entrants assert that they either own or have the rights to use all content used in their designs. Entrants using third-party material (i.e. material not owned by entrant) must have received explicit permission from the owner to use these materials. The burden of determining that any material is not protected by copyright, trademark, rights of privacy, publicity, or any other proprietary rights rests with the entrant. The entrant shall bear the sole liability for any damage resulting from any infringement of copyrights, proprietary rights, or any other harm resulting from such a submission.

In addition, entrants grant the Dana Foundation royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to the images.

The top five finalists will be selected by Dana Foundation staff. Designs will be judged according to creativity and overall design. From November 7 to November 30, the public will vote on their favorite designs, and tallied votes will determine the top three winners.
