Scott A. Huettel, Ph.D.

Scott A. Huettel, Ph.D., is associate professor of psychology and neuroscience at Duke University, where he is also director of the Duke Center for Neuroeconomic Studies. His laboratory uses behavioral and neuroscience methods to investigate the processes of decision making, including both economic and social decisions. Central topics include the neural processing of risk and reward, strategic influences on decision making, and individual differences in decision preferences. He is also lead author on the textbook Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
