Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center of the University of Maryland
Funded in March, 2002: $25000 for 1 years
The Dana Foundation grant provided funding to expand and improve the Common Threads Institute, a one-week program started in 2001 that seeks to revitalize training for in-school arts specialists. Institute participants consider the common threads of creativity, such as structural relationships, production, contextual knowledge and aesthetic criticism. Follow up sessions take place during the school year.
