William Inge Center for the Arts - 2005

Funded in March, 2005: $20000 for 1 years
The Dana grant will allow the William Inge Center for Arts to bring experts from New York's Lincoln Center's Institute for Arts in Education to rural Kansas to conduct workshops; training local and regional rural artists as teaching artists and introducing them to the concepts of Aesthetic Education. This program begins the process of creating a core of teaching artists with the expertise to teach in rural schools and conduct workshops to train other artists and classroom teachers. Lincoln Center Institute will design a program specifically for the Inge Center during Summer 2005, to serve 15-30 participants.
