Raymond Dingledine, Ph.D.

 Ray Dingledine, Ph.D. (feature)Raymond Dingledine, Ph.D., is professor and chair of the Department of Pharmacology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dingledine received his Ph.D. in pharmacology under Avram Goldstein at Stanford and postdoctoral training from Leslie Iversen and John Kelly at Cambridge, UK, then Per Andersen at Oslo. His research focuses on the pharmacology of glutamate receptors and on the causes of epilepsy. He serves on the scientific advisory boards of the Epilepsy Project and NeurOp, a biotech start-up that he co-founded. He is also chair of the investment committee of the Society for Neuroscience and a member of the National Academy of Medicine.
