Mahlon R. DeLong, M.D., is the William Timmie Professor of Neurology at the Emory University School of Medicine and a member of the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives. His research has contributed significantly to the revival of and development of new and more effective surgical approaches for the treatment of movement disorders. Dr. DeLong has received awards for his research and clinical contributions. He is an elected member of the Institute of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Health America recognizes him as one of the top doctors in neurology for the treatment of movement disorders.
